About LiveVybe
LiveVybe was started with support from the University of Waterloo and The Accelerator Centre technology incubator in Ontario, Canada. We evolved from the discovery that what people really want is a more emotionally satisfying social media experience, built around their real preferences and tastes. LiveVybe lets users more closely match their online experience with their real life desires and changing preferences.

The existing social media experience is not always great. Other platforms recommend content by guessing who we are, what we want, and amplifying aggravating elements like politics. And we're left wondering why it's often unsatisfying. Instead, we wanted to let users personalize their recommendations across a wider range of attributes, so your content is based on exactly who you want to be rather than who an AI thinks you are. And if your preferences change it's easy to make an adjustment to your recommendations.

Existing social media channels don't always do a great job of helping us pursue the aims and outcomes we really want. LiveVybe lets you easily filter feeds and connections for friends and content that help you with a goal. Bake a pie, kick a habit, or conquer the world, together.

High-Fidelity Affinity
In real life no one is reducible to a follower count. Friendships grow naturally across shared experiences, and they should online as well.

Rather than focusing on likes and follows, LiveVybe introduces Goals, Moods, and Vybes on top of interests, as entirely new ways of building affinity and friendships, allowing interests and group experience to transcend politics and get to a deeper level of social connection.

Your connections grow in significance naturally as you hangout, so the more you engage across Vybes and Goals, the stronger your connections get–your likes gain more impact, your words are more meaningful to your friends than a stranger, and your influence is stronger, the more you Vybe with each other.
Organic Groups and Moderation
Ironically, communication has never been easier while community has never been harder.
LiveVybe makes communities easy by giving you more ways to match your Vybe with a group. You can create different Vybes for different groups, and slide between groups with a swipe.
Turn privacy on and off for individual comments and discussion, mirroring the way we talk closely to each other at parties.

Too often a small number of voices cause groups to waver from a consensus just by being loud. Blind, randomized voting prevents this.
Work together through easy anonymous voting to transparently moderate your group in the fairest way possible.

LiveVybe is also developing new ways to work together on questions and disagreements. Itemized instances of disagreements, questions, and debates can be created by highlighting sections of chat. Then you can tag these chat sections as elements inside a conversation and request contributions or votes that solves the contentious item.
